Limited openings for boarding available

RoanOake Farm offers limited openings for full care boarding. Our
peaceful atmosphere and knowledgeable, caring staff allow for the
ideal environment for both horses and their humans. By limiting the
number of horses boarded, we are able to maintain the highest
standards of care and attention to detail.

All boarding options are full care, with regular worming, vaccination,
farrier, and other routine health and veterinarian services (teeth,
sheaths, chiropractic, etc). We make all arrangements and will hold
horses for practitioners at no additional charge, and will arrange for
owners to be billed directly for services.

We offer stalls with and without runs with both private and shared
turnout available (at no additional charge). For the outside boarding
options, we offer large and small outside paddocks w/shelters. Nightly
wellness checks, generally between 10pm and 2am are part of our
daily routine. We believe that good equine management does not end
at bedtime.

Blanketing is always included as needed.

We feed clean, quality grass and alfalfa hay and offer a variety of hard
feeds/grains as needed (Equine Senior, Complete Advantage,
soaked or dry shredded beet pulp, extruded soy, soaked or dry hay
cubes, Strategy, sweet mix, oats, bran mashes, etc). We feed 3x/day,
4x/day in the winter, and are happy to feed more or less, depending
on your horse's needs. We work closely with our veterinarian to
provide the best nutritional plan for each horse.

Specialized Boarding Services Available

Along with our regular full care boarding options, we also offer a
limited number of specialized boarding services and options.

Medical
Our rehabilitation, injury recovery, post surgical and lay up boarding
options are available both long and short term, and also include hand
walking, bandaging, cold hosing, supplement and medication
administration, use of the hot walker, etc., as needed at no additional
charge. Video monitoring is available 24/7 for these horses with
higher needs, and our veterinarian is on call 24/7.

Mare care and Foaling
We also offer experienced mare care and foaling out service year
round. We offer both regular stalls and oversized foaling stalls, 24/7
video monitoring, and experienced human assistance standing by for
your mare, anytime, day or night. Our repro vet is on call 24/7
throughout foaling season.

We also offer colostrum and nurse mare services on a very limited
basis.

Retirement
Long term Retiree board is also available on a limited basis, and all
services listed above are available for your retired equine partner's
needs.

All horses are required to have current Coggins and Health
Certificates presented upon arrival, and we do require a deposit (one
month's board).
