4/23/09 - WELCOME HOME SAGAR!!
After Sagar's long journey from Europe to the US, through entry quarantine in New York, through his 30 day CEM quarantine in
Maryland at Rigbie Farms, Sagar finally made his way home (courtesy of Equine Express) to Golden Edge Sporthorses!  We are thrilled to finally see him in flesh and blood and see his great character and quality up close.  We have big plans for this young man and can't wait to start his new career!   We'd like to give a big Thank You to the following people and companies for helping us get Sagar home:   Mandy Driesch - for helping us find Sagar
Susanne Leuchter - for acting as our agent, helping with his purchase, and boarding him until the transportation she set up
could take him to Amsterdam World Animal Transport - who set up his stabling, testing, and transportation to the US
Nedpoint Quarter Horses, Irmgard Geul - who, as our import agent, made arrangements for his importation to the US and
his CEM quarantine Rigbie Farms, Sharon and Liz - who took great care of him, arranged all the CEM testing, and showed him the ropes while
he was at their quarantine facility Equine Express who whisked him away when he was released from quarantine and took great care of him during his
transportation from Maryland to Colorado And finally, a big heartfelt Thank You to Nancy Reilly.  She tenaciously took care of all the logistics from initial contact, emailing and making telephone calls to Europe in the middle of the night, used her knowledge of the Internet to find a trustable agent who could close the deal, to working with the import agent and transportation companies to get Sagar home.  Without her unique expertise and able assistance, we would never have been able to acquire and import the stallion of our dreams!   |
